Following its initial 2016 sponsorship of British Institute of Innkeepers Summer Event, Sky Business wanted to move things to the next level at this year’s event. It was keen to increase Sky Sports presence by introducing a series of entertaining brand experiences while adding a little professional sparkle to the Annual Awards Ceremony.
Held in the HAC Marquee, Artillery Gardens, the BII Summer Event attracts over 800 of the UK’s top licensees and operators. It offers a great opportunity for them to network, share ideas and opinions, and celebrate the success of their industry.
Working closely with the Sky in-house team, we designed three simulators to represent the key Sky Sports Channels of Formula 1, Golf and Cricket. All were ‘made to measure’ to ensure they met the historic venue requirements and left no environment impact. Also with the event taking place outdoors in June, everything was weatherproof including the 10m long golf ‘putting green’. Each attraction had a dedicate manger to make sure that guests were put at ease and enjoyed taking part.
Our Studio Director provided the vital link with the BII Event Team. In addition to pre-editing videos and presentations, he used his professional production skills to insure that the after dinner entertainment, guest speaker Mark Ramprakash and the Awards Ceremony ran smoothly.
Both Sky Business and the BII were delighted with quality, good management and smooth running of our brand experiences and studio production. And the guests? They enjoyed a memorable fun-packed day in the sun.
